Kindness, that force that makes no noise

There are customers who remind you why you love this job.
Not for what they spend, but for what they give back: respect, gratitude, humanity.

That's what working with the public means to me: to give my best, compatible with what I can offer. Not every other day, not for convenience, but because it is my way of being in things.
And sometimes something rare and precious happens: commitment is seen. Not taken for granted.
There are those who recognise it, welcome it and return it in the form of kindness.
A word spoken from the heart. A spontaneous feedback. A gesture that was not due.

This is not always the case, we know.
But when it happens, it makes a difference. Because it reminds us that kindness is not a formality: it is a force that creates value, for everyone.

Working with care is a matter of dignity, not (just) a calculation - neither economic nor relational.
One is not kind 'if the other is'. One is kind by choice. Even when it doesn't come right back.

True kindness is neither weakness nor strategy.
It is choice. It is presence. It is a form of value that spreads in silence, and is contagious.

It is not always seen. It is not always reciprocated.
But when encountered, genuine kindness leaves its mark.

I would love to read your thoughts, or an anecdote that happened to you. Have you ever received or offered a gesture of kindness with an open heart?
